About YUTHERA
YUTHERA is building the YU Patch, a wearable medical device that delivers drug-free uterine pain relief and continuous physiological monitoring for women with dysmenorrhea and endometriosis. We combine TENS-based neuromodulation with biosensing in a single patch, paired with a companion app that gives women a personalized health dashboard and gives clinicians the longitudinal data they have never had access to before.
This is not a wellness product. It is a medical device on a CE Mark Class IIa pathway, backed by a 60-study systematic literature review at EU MDR standard and a beta study showing 84.4% pain reduction in 30 minutes across 35 participants, p<0.001, zero adverse events.
Where we are right now:
• Beta study validated: 84.4% pain reduction, n=35, p<0.001, zero adverse events
• 60-study SOTA literature review completed to EU MDR Annex XIV Part A standard
• University of Sharjah RISE engineering partnership active, prototype in development
• Chief Medical Officer confirmed: Dr. Rosia Shah, MBBS, MRCOG, MRCP, 20yr OB-GYN
• Lead Hardware Engineer engaged: Thomas Alex, 6yr MedTech hardware, Ireland
• Head of Delivery, Head of User Research, and Clinical Affairs Lead all engaged
• User research program live with four research associates across UAE, UK, and India
• Selected for interview: Eir Accelerator first cohort, November 2026 at Slush
$1M pre-seed SAFE active at $6–7M cap · UAE-first commercial launch strategy
The Role
We need a Product Manager who will own the companion app from end to end. Not manage a roadmap. Build a product from scratch, in a MedTech context, for a condition that has never had a properly designed digital health solution.
You will translate what the user research team is learning from women with dysmenorrhea and endometriosis into a validated product specification. You will define what the V1 companion app is and what it is not. You will align the app with the clinical and regulatory requirements of a Class IIa medical device. And you will work alongside the hardware engineer and the CMO to ensure that what the device captures, the app can meaningfully present.
This role closes the most critical gap in the Yuthera team right now. Without product ownership, the user research stays disconnected from the hardware, the Figma screens stay unvalidated, and the companion app definition drifts. The PM is the connective tissue between research, engineering, and clinical.
Role Details
Title: Product Manager
Reporting to: CEO
Type: Independent contractor. Converts to full employment on pre-seed funding close.
Location: Fully Remote but open to candidates in UAE, UK, and Ireland specifically.
Commitment: Flexible and milestone-based. Accountability is to outcomes, not hours
Compensation: Unpaid at this stage. Salary to be agreed on funding close.
Equity: Milestone-vested equity. Structure to be agreed on signing.
Start date: As soon as possible.
What You Will Own
Product Definition and Roadmap
• Define the V1 companion app specification, what it includes, what it defers, and why, based on user research outputs, clinical requirements, and regulatory constraints
• Build and maintain a product roadmap that is grounded in what the team can actually deliver, not what would be ideal in a fully funded company
• Own the PRD process and ensure every feature decision has a clear clinical, user, or regulatory rationale
• Decide what the Figma screens become and what gets cut, the current design is a starting point, not a brief
User Research Translation
• Work directly with User Research Lead and the four research associates to extract actionable product insights from participant interviews
• Translate qualitative user research into validated feature priorities, journey maps, and product requirements
• Ensure the app speaks to the woman’s experience first, not the data, not the device, not the clinical outcome
• Participate in user research sessions where direct product feedback is needed
Clinical and Regulatory Alignment
• Work with the CMO to ensure all data presentation, monitoring language, alert thresholds, and health claims in the app are clinically accurate and consistent with the CE Mark intended use statement
• Understand the regulatory constraints on what a Class IIa medical device companion app can and cannot claim or display
• Flag any product decisions that could create regulatory risk and escalate to the CMO before implementation
Hardware and Engineering Coordination
• Work with the Tech Lead to ensure the companion app specification is compatible with what the hardware can actually capture and transmit
• Define the data requirements the app needs from the device and communicate them clearly to the engineering team
• Own the interface between hardware and software at the product level, not the technical integration, but the product logic
Investor and Stakeholder Readiness
• Ensure the product story Foghor tells to investors is accurate, specific, and defensible at any point in the raise
• Contribute to the data room with product documentation, roadmap evidence, and validated user insights
• Support accelerator applications and pitch preparation with product-specific evidence and narrative
What We Are Looking For
Essential
• Three to five years in digital health product management, not general product, specifically health, MedTech, or health data
• Experience taking a product from zero to one in a resource-constrained environment
• Comfort translating qualitative user research into structured product decisions
• Genuine understanding of or curiosity about regulatory constraints on medical device software
• Strong written communication, you will be the person who turns ambiguity into clarity for the whole team
• Ability to operate without a large support team, make decisions with incomplete information, and move fast without breaking what matters
Strongly Preferred
• Personal connection to women’s health, chronic pain, or femtech, ideally lived experience of dysmenorrhea or endometriosis
• Experience with companion apps for wearable health devices or biosensors
• Familiarity with CE Mark or FDA SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) regulatory requirements
• Based in or available to work with a UAE-based team without time zone friction
NOT Required
• A large corporate product background, we are not looking for someone who has managed a team of ten PMs
• Technical coding skills , you will work with engineers, not be one
• Previous startup equity experience, we will explain ours clearly
Why This Role
The honest pitch:
There is no salary right now. That is the honest starting point. What there is: a clinical evidence base that most pre-seed MedTech companies never build, a hardware engineering partner at a UAE research university, a CMO with MRCOG credentials who came to us, a user research program already generating data, and a $1.3M raise in progress.
The PM role is not filled yet because we did not want to fill it with the wrong person. The right person is someone who sees what YUTHERA is building and wants to be the one who designs how women experience it. Equity vests on milestones you can actually hit. Salary starts when funding closes. And you will have built something real.
