Finance Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will report to the Finance Team Lead Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) – Ireland Operations.
As a member of the Ireland GMS finance team, this position will be a key business partner to the site leadership teams at each of Zoetis’s manufacturing sites located in Rathdrum, Tallaght and Tullamore.
As a team member, this position will contribute to accurate month end reporting, with an emphasis on maintaining and bolstering SOX governance and financial compliance. In contributing to this purpose, this role will be required to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Key objectives of this position include:
1. Under the guidance of the Finance Team Lead, GMS, govern the SOX compliance programme for the three manufacturing sites in Ireland.
2. Govern the Inward Processing program at the Rathdrum site and ensure compliance with monthly reporting requirements to Irish Revenue.
3. Lead the draw down of grants awarded by the Irish Development Authority to any of the three Irish manufacturing sites.
4. Co-ordinate the Fixed Asset cycle count requirements for the three sites.
5. Maintain compliance with Zoetis accounting policies and procedures.
6. Perform month end reporting responsibilities while adhering to strict reporting deadlines in the execution of
a. Posting of journals
b. Account reconciliations
c. Preparation of accruals
d. Variance analysis
7. Draft month end commentaries and with meeting reporting obligations.
8. Contribute to audits and internal control assessments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
9. Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing financial systems and processes.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programmes to enhance financial performance.
SYSTEM OWNER / SUBSYSTEM OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
System Owner (SO)
System Owners have overall accountability for the site Quality Systems for which they are responsible and in particular for:
• Providing strategic & proactive direction with respect to the System (across the site) in terms of content and execution.
• Providing support, guidance & coaching to Sub System Owners (SSO).
• Ensuring that SSO regularly review sub-systems for their effectiveness, escalating issues where required to site Quality Council (QRC) for action & remediation.
• Owning relevant System issues in the site Compliance Plan.
• Defining resources as needed & communicating resource needs to Site Lead.
• Applying people change control across Sub-Systems within their responsibility.
• Ensuring that SSO have proactive continuous improvement plans for their Sub-Systems.
Sub System Owner (SSO)
Sub-System Owners have overall accountability for the site Quality Sub-Systems for which they are responsible and in particular for:
• Providing strategic & proactive direction with respect to their Sub-System (across the site) in terms of content and execution.
• Regularly reviewing their Sub-System & presenting Sub-System review to Quality Council (QRC) as required. Escalating issues where required to the System Owner (SO) and site QRC for action and remediation.
• Owning relevant Sub-System issues in the site Compliance Plan.
• Defining resources as needed & communicating resource needs to SO.
• Developing & implementing proactive continuous improvement plans for their sub-system.
• In partnership with the SO, ensuring that there are clearly defined expert(s) for each sub-system, acting as a point of contact during inspections.
• Overseeing all documents associated with their sub-system and providing input to the document owners during updates.
• Providing comments on new/revised draft policies and guidelines and completing impact assessments where required.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
All groups across the 3 manufacturing sites in Ireland.
ZFS (Zoetis Financial Shared Service) based in Poland and Costa Rica.
Finance Belgium.
Other finance teams across the organization as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Financial / Accounting qualification.
1-3 years of experience in financial analyst role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
SOX compliance experience.
Development of BI reports.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Exhibit excellent professional ethics.
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
High level of customer focus.
Willingness and ability to understand broader business knowledge.
Up-to-date technology expertise, including proficiency in Excel.
Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
Proficient in SAP (CO, FI, MM).
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Role will be based at Rathdrum, Ireland. On site presence required at both Rathdrum and the Tallaght site.
