CAD Automation Engineer (Siemens NX)

At the core of the role
We are looking for an Applications Specialist (CAD) to join an international Engineering Systems team focused on developing and improving CAD automation solutions.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications that automate engineering design processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency across engineering workflows. You will work closely with global engineering and product development teams, contributing to both new automation solutions and the continuous improvement of existing systems.
Core skills you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with Siemens NX or similar CAD software.
Knowledge of CAD automation, engineering design processes, and mechanical design principles.
Experience with NXOpen API programming is highly preferred.
Software development experience with C# and/or C++.
Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, testing, and maintainable code.
Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is an advantage.
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
The impact you'll create
Design, develop, test, and deploy CAD automation solutions and engineering applications.
Build and enhance software tools that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of engineering design processes.
Develop and maintain custom applications and integrations using Siemens NX and NXOpen API.
Collaborate with engineering, product development, and standards teams to translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions.
Support the implementation of engineering standards and design guidelines through automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve Siemens NX and CAD automation-related issues.
Improve software quality, maintainability, and reliability by applying modern development practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a globally distributed engineering team.
