Position: Certified Coding Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50 - $70/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.
Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation and coding standards.
Code AI-generated diagnostic and procedural information using ICD and CPT/HCPCS classification systems.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure coding.
Enter AI-generated patient information into computerized medical record databases.
Requirements
Active certification in CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or other coding certification through AHIMA and AAPC.
Strong relevant experience in ICD-10 coding.
Access to up-to-date official ICD-10 and CPT coding books, as well as E&M guidelines.
Currently working in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a closely related documentation role.
