Vice President Engineering

Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and technically sound Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge, scalable, and secure software solutions using Java and AWS technologies. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, people management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and direction across all engineering functions.
Architect and oversee the development of scalable and high-performing Java-based applications hosted on AWS.
Lead the design and implementation of modern cloud-native solutions using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers, team leads, and engineering managers.
Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives.
Define and implement best practices for code quality, scalability, security, and reliability.
Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.
Monitor technology trends and continuously assess opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Own the engineering roadmap and ensure alignment with business goals.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership/VP role.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.
Deep experience with AWS cloud platform and services.
Proven experience managing large engineering teams and scaling technology platforms.
Excellent understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native principles.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in agile software development, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
