About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Senior Fashion Designer with experience working with reputed luxury designer brands. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in luxury couture, intricate embroidery, garment detailing, and end-to-end sample development.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design luxury couture and occasion-wear pieces in line with the brand’s design direction.
Develop creative concepts, mood boards, sketches, and collection designs.
Work extensively on embroidery, surface ornamentation, embellishments, and intricate garment detailing.
Select appropriate fabrics, trims, colours, and embroidery techniques for each design.
Coordinate with embroidery artisans, karigars, pattern makers, and sampling teams to execute designs.
Manage the complete sampling process, from initial design development to final sample approval.
Review samples, fittings, garment construction, and finishing to ensure the desired look and quality.
Work closely with production teams to resolve design and construction-related issues.
Ensure design accuracy, quality standards, and timely completion of samples and collections.
Maintain design sheets, sample records, and collection documentation.
Skills & Requirements
4+ years of experience in fashion design, preferably with reputed luxury designer labels.
Strong understanding of luxury couture, occasion wear, and intricate embroidery techniques.
Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, pattern making, and fitting.
Hands-on experience managing sampling and coordinating with artisans and production teams.
Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and execution skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant design software.
Ability to manage multiple designs and meet deadlines.
Preferred Background
Candidates who have worked with established luxury couture, bridal, or occasion-wear designer brands will be preferred.
