Mid - Senior MS SQL Engineer - ETL & Data Integration

We are looking for an MS SQL Engineer to join our team and design, develop and maintain data solutions on an on-premises Microsoft SQL Server environment. The role focuses on SQL development and SSIS-based ETL processes that support critical business operations.
You will work closely with data, development and business teams to ensure reliable, well-performing and well-documented data pipelines. The position is open to both medior and senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processes
Write and optimise T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, views and triggers
Monitor, troubleshoot and tune the performance of SQL Server databases and ETL jobs
Design and maintain data models and database structures
Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across systems
Schedule, deploy and support ETL jobs in an on-premises environment
Analyse and resolve production issues and perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with developers, analysts and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
Document solutions and contribute to best practices and code reviews
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an MS SQL / ETL Engineer or Developer (5+ years for senior level)
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
Solid experience designing and developing SSIS packages
Experience with query optimisation and performance tuning
Good understanding of ETL principles, data warehousing and data modelling
Experience working in on-premises environments
Familiarity with version control and deployment practices for database and ETL code
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities
Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
Experience with SSRS and/or SSAS
Experience with SQL Server Agent and job scheduling
Experience with CI/CD for database and ETL deployments
Experience in the financial services sector
Microsoft certifications in data or SQL Server
