Responsibilities:
IBM Guardium DAM Operations, Monitoring & Compliance Management
Administer, maintain, and ensure the availability, stability, and performance of the IBM Guardium DAM platform.
Perform routine platform health checks, capacity monitoring, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and operational maintenance activities.
Monitor database activities through Guardium dashboards, reports, audit trails, and monitoring controls.
Manage and maintain integration between IBM Guardium DAM and Google SecOps SIEM to ensure continuous forwarding and visibility of database security events.
Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring policies, exception rules, alerting mechanisms, and privileged user monitoring controls.
Review, analyze, and investigate security alerts, policy violations, suspicious database activities, unauthorized access attempts, and anomalous user behavior.
Conduct event analysis, root cause investigations, and incident resolution using Guardium logs and audit records, ensuring proper documentation and closure.
Fine-tune policies and alert thresholds to improve monitoring effectiveness and reduce false positives.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Guardium S-TAP/K-TAP agents across supported database environments.
Implement approved policy modifications in line with business, security, and regulatory requirements.
Generate operational, compliance, and audit reports, dashboards, and evidence required for internal, external, and regulatory audits.
Ensure database monitoring controls remain aligned with organizational security standards, governance requirements, and compliance obligations.
Escalate critical security incidents and collaborate with SOC, Database, Application, Infrastructure, Risk, and Audit teams during investigations and remediation activities.
Required Technical Skills
Mandatory
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on IBM Guardium DAM administration experience.
Understanding of:
IBM Guardium Architecture
Collectors
Aggregators
Central Manager
Experience handling:
Policies
Alerts
Reporting
Audit workflows
Compliance use cases
Experience performing Guardium health checks and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of database security concepts.
Working knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL environments.
Linux administration fundamentals.
Understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP and SSL.
