Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Engineer Intern to join our team. The intern will assist in collecting, processing, transforming, and managing data to support business operations and data-driven decision-making. This role provides hands-on experience with data pipelines, databases, ETL processes, and cloud-based data technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in collecting, cleaning, transforming, and processing structured and unstructured data.
Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL workflows.
Work with databases and write basic SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
Assist in developing and optimizing data storage solutions.
Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other technical team members.
Identify and resolve basic data quality issues.
Document data workflows, processes, and technical procedures.
Learn and apply industry best practices for data management and data security.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Python programming.
Understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with data structures and database concepts.
Basic understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Knowledge of Excel and data manipulation techniques.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
Exposure to tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Pandas.
Understanding of Git and version control.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases is an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with academic projects or practical experience in Python, SQL, or databases will have an advantage.
