Role Description The AI Application Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven applications, including building and integrating machine learning models into production systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and iterate on features based on user feedback and performance metrics. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, conducting experiments and performance evaluations, optimizing algorithms, and maintaining documentation for developed solutions. The role also includes staying current with advances in AI technologies and contributing to research and development initiatives that enhance product capabilities.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building and maintaining production-grade applications.
Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including experimentation, prototyping, and data-driven evaluation of AI solutions.
Knowledge of Polymers and Materials Science, with the ability to apply AI methods to materials-related problems and datasets.
Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and familiarity with data processing pipelines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document work effectively.
Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
Prior exposure to industrial or scientific applications of AI, especially in materials or manufacturing domains, is an advantage.
