Job Description:
We are looking for a WORKING STUDENT !
Are you looking to bridge the gap between university theory and real-world software engineering? We are looking for a motivated Working Student to join our fast-paced, Agile development team.
We, the navigation team at Airbus, are currently developing a high-precision Testbed for the Galileo Program, working on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA). Our project is a highly international and technical endeavor, with core teams located in Ottobrunn and Toulouse.
To manage the complexity of this large-scale engineering project, we operate using the Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. This allows us to remain flexible, scalable, and highly collaborative across different sites.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable working student to support the program management in the Agile SAFe methodolgy. Your Responsibilities are:
* Agile Facilitation: Support the team in applying the Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology.
* Scrum Support: Assist in Scrum ceremonies and help the team maintain high productivity and focus.
* Project Tracking: Keep project plans, backlogs, and timelines up-to-date to ensure transparency.
* Tool Management: Act as a "power user" for our collaborative ecosystem, primarily Jira and Confluence, ensuring documentation and task tracking are accurate.
* Cross-functional Interface: Serve as a communication bridge between the Project Manager, Product Owners, and the Engineering teams.
* Team Coordination: Help bridge the gap between our distributed locations (Ottobrunn and Toulouse) to ensure seamless collaboration.
What you should bring:
Technical Foundation & Workflow:
Basic programming skills acquired through university projects or personal repositories.
Nice to have: First experience with Git (or similar version control systems) for branching, committing, and opening pull requests.
Nice to have: An understanding of clean code principles and a basic mindset for writing automated tests.
Agile Mindset & Collaboration:
Initial exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn our workflow is essential.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a hybrid team and manage your availability proactively around your university schedule.
High organizational skills to break down technical tasks so they fit into your weekly working hours.
An open mindset for continuous learning and active participation in code reviews and team retrospectives.
Language Skills: Business fluent English skills (both written and spoken), enabling you to collaborate naturally within our international team.
What you get:
* Work in a highly motivated and experienced engineering team on a real project
* In our Agile setup, your voice carries the same weight. You will participate in sprint retrospectives and architecture planning just like any full-time engineer.
* A dedicated Senior Developer will act as your mentor, ensuring you learn modern Agile best practices.
* Study from campus, work from home. We support a hybrid setup that adapts to your lecture schedule.
Sounds like the right fit for your studies? We are looking forward to your application!
