Role Description The Engineering Services Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Sterling Holiday Resorts in Jodhpur. This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering and facility management operations within the resort, ensuring that building systems, utilities, and equipment are maintained to high safety and efficiency standards. The Engineering Services Manager will plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinate engineering projects, and manage vendor relationships for technical services and supplies. The role includes monitoring budgets, optimizing energy usage, ensuring compliance with statutory and safety regulations, and maintaining documentation and reports related to engineering activities. The Engineering Services Manager will also lead, train, and support the engineering team, collaborate closely with operations, housekeeping, and F&B teams, and respond promptly to guest-related maintenance requests to uphold a superior guest experience.
Qualifications
Strong Engineering Management and Facility Management (FM) skills to oversee resort infrastructure, maintenance, and safety standards.
Proficiency in Budgeting and cost control to manage engineering expenses, monitor energy consumption, and support efficient resource allocation.
Experience in Project Management to plan, implement, and review engineering upgrades, renovations, and technical improvement initiatives.
Effective Team Management capabilities to lead, train, and motivate engineering staff, while coordinating with other resort functions.
Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field; prior experience in hospitality or large facility operations is preferred.
Knowledge of statutory compliance, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices relevant to hotels and resorts.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on-site and handle operational emergencies.
Comfort with using maintenance management systems, basic MS Office tools, and reporting dashboards for tracking and documentation.
