About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
London · Hybrid · Full-time · £30,000 per year · Exclusively via Vaultt
Apply with your CV. Stand out with your portfolio.
We've partnered exclusively with a London data analytics firm of around 150 people. They want to hire on proof, not pedigree. There are no university filters and no specific degree required, and alongside your CV, the hiring team reviews every portfolio.
They're looking for people who stand out: entrepreneurial, self-driven, the kind who build things nobody asked them to and find a better way when the obvious one doesn't work.
The role
Data is this firm's product. You'll work on the analysis inside its platform: finding what's in the data, checking it holds up, and turning it into insight customers act on.
What you'll do
- Clean, query and analyse large datasets with SQL and Python
- Build and maintain the analysis and metrics that power the platform
- Find patterns, test them properly and explain them in plain English
- Work with product, design and engineering to turn findings into features
What to show us
- Analyses, notebooks or dashboards you've built, at work, university or on your own
- Side projects where you went looking for an answer nobody asked you to find
- Tools, scrapers or models you've built to solve a real problem
Show the question, what you found, and why it mattered.
How your work is reviewed
The hiring team reviews your Vaultt profile alongside your CV, so upload the work itself, not just a link: your notebook, dashboard or analysis, with a short note on the question, your approach and what you found. For an analyst role, explaining your work clearly is part of what's being assessed.
Who stands out
- You're curious enough to dig into data for its own sake
- You've built or started things on your own initiative
- You're honest about what the data can and can't tell you, and can explain it to non-analysts
- You take feedback and come back with something better, fast
Working SQL expected. Python or R is a plus. A graduate-level role, open to anyone who can show the work. No specific degree or university required.
