Role Description This temporary remote Mechanical Design Engineer role focuses on developing and refining mechanical components and assemblies for new or existing products. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating 3D models and detailed drawings, performing design reviews, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements. Additional tasks may involve supporting prototype builds, documenting design decisions, and aligning work with project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering for developing reliable mechanical systems.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Machine Design and Product Design to create components and assemblies suited for real-world applications.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and design documentation.
Candidates should possess the ability to analyze mechanical performance, including stress, tolerance, and material selection considerations.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote and cross-functional teams.
Relevant experience in prototyping, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly is beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
