Work you'll do
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer Contractor to build and support scalable enterprise applications. This role focuses on developing Java and Spring Boot services, React-based user interfaces, and integrations using REST APIs and Kafka. The developer will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver secure, reliable software.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, test, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
Develop and support microservices and REST APIs.
Create responsive user interfaces with JavaScript and CSS.
Build event-driven integrations using Kafka.
Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases; write and optimize SQL.
Write automated unit tests using JUnit and contribute to code reviews.
Troubleshoot application issues and maintain technical documentation.
Use Git to manage source code and collaborate across teams.
Support deployments and operations in cloud or containerized environments.
Apply secure development practices, including authentication, service-to-service security, and secrets management.
Required Qualifications
Experience developing enterprise Java applications.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
Experience with Kafka and event-driven integrations.
Front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
Experience with Git and JUnit.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Drools, jBPM, or other rules engines.
Familiarity with MongoDB.
Knowledge of system design and UI/UX principles.
Experience with cloud architecture, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Terraform, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, or HashiCorp Vault
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70-$75 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
