INDIAN MUSIC TEACHER

Banyan Tree School is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to teach vocal and instrumental music to students from Classes I to XII and support their musical skills, creativity, discipline, confidence, and overall development.

Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Music, preferably in Classical Music.
Degree/Diploma in Music from a recognised institution.
3–5 years of relevant school teaching experience Preferred.
Strong knowledge of Classical and/or traditional music.
Good communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
Ability to train students for performances, competitions, and school events.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct appropriate Music classes for Classes I to XII.
Teach vocal music, basic music theory, ragas, taal, rhythm, and musical concepts.
Develop students’ singing, listening, rhythm, and performance skills.
Prepare lesson plans and structured music activities.
Assess students’ musical skills, participation, and progress.
Encourage discipline, creativity, confidence, and appreciation of music.
Identify and support students with musical talent and potential.
Prepare and train students for school functions, competitions, assemblies, and cultural events.
Organise and support music performances and other cultural activities.
Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.
Maintain attendance, assessment, and activity records.
Work with teachers and school leadership to support students’ overall development.
