We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with strong experience in software quality assurance, database testing, API testing, and data validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, reliability, and integrity of applications and data workflows through comprehensive test planning, execution, and defect management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, database, API, and data validation testing.
Perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and completeness.
Conduct API testing to verify functionality, response codes, data accuracy, error handling, and integration between systems.
Validate data transformations, mappings, and data flows across source and target systems.
Perform ETL testing to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Execute end-to-end testing for data integration and cloud-based data workflows.
Manage test cases, test execution, and defect tracking using JIRA/Xray or similar test management tools.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to support timely defect resolution.
Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics.
Support regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing as required.
Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and established quality processes.
Qualifications and Required Skills
Strong experience in software quality assurance and software testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with database testing, SQL queries, API testing, and data validation.
Good working knowledge of JIRA/Xray and test management processes.
Exposure to ETL testing, data integration, and cloud-based data workflows.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.
Experience in test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and regression testing.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
Ability to validate complex datasets and investigate data discrepancies.
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
