Driving instructor

The Driving Instructors will be responsible for:
Managing the day to day progress of their trainees.
Ensuring the safety of trainees, whilst under instruction.
Teaching trainees the technical skills required to drive a bus.
Ensuring trainees meet the standard required to pass their Module 3, driving test element.
Teaching their trainees Module 4 practical demonstration and ensuring they possess the knowledge to pass.
Coaching trainees in the soft skills that support technical standards.
Carrying out Pre Employment Assessments, (PEAs) driver development training and classroom work where required.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who:
Has a strong understanding of the soft skill elements required to be a comprehensive Bus Driver.
Is highly professional and confident and demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively.
Possesses an ability to appropriately deliver effective, timely and direct feedback, whilst demonstrating a willingness to embrace any feedback received.
Shows an ability to empathise with individuals who are finding the driver training journey challenging.
Is people orientated and puts learner experience at the centre of everything they do.
Demonstrates a flexible approach to tasks and working hours in line with business needs.
