Position Overview:
Join us as a SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Solution Consultant for guiding our organization through the implementation and optimization of SAP MDG solutions. You’ll play a pivotal role in understanding business requirements related to master data management and translating them into technical solutions using SAP MDG. This role requires deep expertise in SAP MDG modules, data modeling, data governance best practices, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Typical Accountabilities
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand master data management requirements, including data governance rules, data quality standards, and business processes.
Solution Design: Design comprehensive SAP MDG solutions tailored to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
Configuration and Customization: Configure SAP MDG modules to support data governance processes, including data modeling, workflows, data validation rules, and user interfaces,
including:
Data Model Enhancement, Data Transfer (DIF/DEF), Data Replication Framework (DRF), Business Rules Framework plus (BRFplus)
Configuration rule-based Workflow
Integrating business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP Master Data Governance
User interface modelling (Design and Creation of UI, Value restriction, Define navigation elements of type Hyperlink or Push button, Data quality, Validation and Derivation rules)
Process Modelling (Entity, Business Activity change, Request type, Workflow, Edition type,
Relationship, Data replication techniques, SOA service, ALE connection, Key value mapping, Data
transfer, Export import master data, Convert master data) Integration Management: Implement integrations between SAP MDG and other systems (such as ERP and BI) to ensure seamless data flow and consistency across the organization.
Data Quality Management: Define data quality metrics and implement data quality rules within SAP MDG to maintain high-quality master data.
Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users on SAP MDG functionalities and best practices. Create documentation for configuration, customizations, and user guides.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Lead testing activities to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of SAP MDG solutions. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and address any issues or defects.
Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of SAP MDG solutions within the organization. Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders during and after implementation.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on latest SAP MDG developments, trends, and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization of existing solutions.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
 Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP MDG implementation and customization.
 Proficiency in SAP MDG modules such as Material, Customer, Vendor, or Financials.
 Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and data governance principles.
 Experience with SAP integration technologies (e.g., IDoc, RFC, BAPI).
 Certification in SAP MDG is preferred.
