Role Description The Prompt & Context Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the professional will design, refine, and maintain prompts and contextual frameworks that optimize AI and Gen AI models for internal solutions and client-facing applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing business use cases, translating them into structured prompt flows, curating and organizing domain-specific context, and testing outputs to improve accuracy, relevance, and reliability. The role involves collaborating closely with software development, data, and consulting teams to embed prompt engineering best practices into products and services, as well as documenting guidelines and creating reusable prompt libraries. The Prompt & Context Engineer will also monitor performance metrics, run experiments, and iterate on prompt strategies to align AI behavior with compliance, user experience, and business goals.
Qualifications
Strong skills in prompt engineering, context design, and AI-assisted workflow creation, with the ability to translate business requirements into structured inputs for Gen AI models.
Proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and experimentation, including designing test cases, evaluating outputs, and optimizing prompts based on measurable performance.
Experience collaborating with software development and data teams, with familiarity in AI, ML, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) used in enterprise environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document standards, create reusable prompt templates, and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working in fast-paced, on-site team settings, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience in AI/ML or software engineering is also valued.
Hands-on experience with large language models, AI platforms, or conversational interfaces is highly beneficial; exposure to domains such as healthcare, education
