Role Description The Vice President of Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision and execution at Start Business AI. This role oversees the design, development, and maintenance of platforms and tools that enable users to build AI-powered online businesses. Day-to-day tasks include setting IT strategy, guiding architectural decisions, managing technical roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional technology initiatives with product, operations, and customer success teams. The Vice President of Technology will manage technology projects, mentor engineering and IT staff, ensure system reliability and security, and continuously evaluate new technologies that support the company’s mission. This position also collaborates with leadership on strategic planning and contributes to long-term growth and scalability of the technology stack.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate technical options, interpret data, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Deep experience in Information Technology, including infrastructure, software development practices, and cloud-based systems.
Proven ability in IT Strategy and Strategic Planning to align technology initiatives with business goals and future growth.
Demonstrated Project Management capabilities for overseeing complex, multi-team technology projects from conception to delivery.
Leadership experience in senior technology roles, ideally in SaaS, AI, or digital product organizations.
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, modern software architecture, and security best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is beneficial.
