About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About the Job
We are looking for someone who understands how to translate fashion into compelling visual content.
This is a founding-team creative hire. There is no established in-house video production team. You will work closely with the founders and creative team to bring our collections, campaigns, and everyday brand stories to life.
You are the person who makes the visuals happen.
This is not a social media management role. You will not be responsible for posting calendars, community management, or defining the brand's overall marketing strategy.
What we need is someone who can take a visual idea, build a shoot around it, operate the camera, control the light, capture the right frames and turn raw footage into polished, usable content.
Key Responsibilities
Fashion, Product & Brand Filmmaking
Shoot fashion campaigns, editorial films, collection launches, model videos, and product content for e-commerce, paid advertising, and social media.
Capture garments from multiple angles, showcasing silhouettes, proportions, fit, construction, styling, and movement through walk cycles, transitions and editorial sequences.
Film close-ups of prints, embroidery, stitching, handloom textures, fabric drape, finishing, and garment construction to communicate product quality and craftsmanship.
Create behind-the-scenes (BTS) content covering fashion shoots, fittings, sampling, artisans at work, production processes, collection development, and everyday studio activities.
Film founder-led videos, interviews, studio conversations, team interactions, and brand stories that communicate the label's identity, creative vision, and journey.
Adapt footage for Instagram Reels, paid campaigns, e-commerce pages, and websites in 9:16, 4:5, and 16:9 formats.
Camera, Lighting & Production
Operate cameras confidently in manual mode, understanding exposure, frame rates, shutter speed, white balance, focus, picture profiles, lens selection, and depth of field.
Use composition, framing, and camera movement to create polished fashion visuals that showcase garments effectively.
Set up lighting using natural light, continuous lights, reflectors, and diffusion, adapting techniques to silk, satin, cotton, denim, handloom fabrics, and embroidered surfaces.
Control highlights, shadows, and colour casts to preserve the true colours, print placement, textures, sheen, and finish of garments.
Record clear audio for interviews, founder-led content, and studio conversations.
Translate creative briefs into practical shot lists, preparing equipment and planning shoot schedules, locations, setups, and model movements.
Work independently as a one-person production crew, managing camera, lighting, sound, simple shot direction, filming, and first edits; collaborate with models, photographers, stylists, and the wider creative team on larger campaigns.
Editing & Post-Production
Edit footage into polished fashion films, campaign teasers, product videos, collection launches, short-form social content, and BTS edits using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent software.
Handle colour correction and grading while preserving accurate garment colours, prints, textures, and intricate details.
Use music, sound design, pacing, transitions, and typography where appropriate to strengthen the visual narrative.
Create multiple edits and aspect ratios from the same footage for different platforms and marketing requirements, delivering content within agreed timelines.
Organize raw footage, project files, and final exports; maintain clear file naming, searchable archives, and reliable backups for future reuse.
Coordinate with the creative team to deliver footage and finished edits ready for further design, adaptation, and publishing.
Shoot Preparation & Management
Check and prepare cameras, lenses, batteries, memory cards, lighting equipment, audio gear, and accessories before every shoot.
Work efficiently with small crews, limited resources, tight timelines, and changing production requirements.
Handle garments, samples, accessories, and equipment carefully throughout production.
Capture additional BTS footage and spontaneous moments without disrupting the main shoot.
Maintain consistent visual quality across different locations, lighting conditions, and production setups.
What Matters More Than Gear
Taste. We care about how you see, not just what camera you own. We want someone who understands how to make a garment look premium without relying on excessive effects, unnecessary transitions, or artificial visual treatments.
An understanding of fashion. Clothing is not a static object. Its proportions, construction, movement, and relationship with the body are what make it interesting.
Attention to detail. Prints must remain accurate. Fabric colours should be represented faithfully. Embroidery, stitching and other details deserve to be captured properly.
Consistency. A beautiful campaign film is valuable, but so is the ability to produce strong, usable footage regularly without compromising quality.
Ownership. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for the complete production process, from preparing for a shoot to delivering organized footage and finished edits.
Curiosity. You should be interested in learning, experimenting, and developing a distinct visual sensibility rather than repeating the same format for every shoot.
Qualifications
A degree or background in fashion communication, film, cinematography, photography, or a related field is welcome. Freshers with a strong portfolio will also be considered.
Experience shooting for fashion labels, designers, creative agencies, photographers, or production houses.
Experience with fashion photography alongside video.
Familiarity with macro lenses, sliders, gimbals, and controlled product lighting.
Knowledge of colour grading and colour management.
A showreel or portfolio is mandatory. Please share fashion films, product videos, campaign footage, or other relevant work.
Include at least one example showing your own contribution to filming and editing. Clearly identify work completed as part of a team.
If possible, include a short raw clip alongside the final edit so we can understand your camera work and visual judgement before post-production.
Share your resume, portfolio links, and current location when applying.
Ability to travel for shoots when required.
