3PO Product Delivery & Forecast Transformation Intern – Getac TAT Improvement
The 3PO Product Delivery & Forecast Transformation Intern will support a cross-functional improvement project to reduce order-to-delivery turnaround time (TAT) for third-party offering (3PO) products, with an initial focus on Getac.
The role will work with 3PO business, Getac, Foxconn, Planning, Logistics, Sales Operations, and order-management stakeholders to map the end-to-end delivery flow, analyze delivery-date accuracy and lead-time drivers, identify process and data gaps, and recommend practical actions that improve delivery predictability and customer visibility.
A key part of the assignment will be to assess the current lack of a structured demand-forecast process for 3PO products and develop recommendations for a repeatable forecast, capacity-planning, and supplier-commitment model that can shorten TAT and improve first-plan reliability.
Key responsibilities:
Delivery TAT Analysis & Baseline Development
Consolidate order, planned-date, shipment, logistics ETA, and proof-of-delivery data into a reliable baseline for Getac and other priority 3PO products.
Measure end-to-end TAT and key stages such as order entry to final ship and final ship to customer delivery.
Analyze first-plan and revised-plan accuracy, country or lane differences, volume concentration, exceptions, and recurring delay patterns.
Forecast Process Assessment & Recommendation
Document how demand signals, pipeline information, customer requirements, and order forecasts are currently shared across HP, Getac, and fulfillment partners.
Identify gaps caused by the absence of a standard forecast cadence, clear ownership, common data definitions, and feedback loops.
Recommend a practical forecasting model covering horizon, granularity, cadence, ownership, supplier acknowledgment, capacity checks, and forecast-versus-actual tracking.
End-to-End Process & Root-Cause Improvement
Map the physical product flow and related order-status updates from supplier readiness through fulfillment, logistics, customer delivery, and customer-visible systems.
Facilitate root-cause reviews for inaccurate commitments, long lead times, late system updates, and delivery-date deviations.
Develop prioritized recommendations, pilots, and standard work to improve supplier readiness, planning accuracy, logistics handoffs, and customer communication.
Governance, Reporting & Digital Enablement
Create a KPI framework and dashboard covering forecast accuracy, first-plan accuracy, ship TAT, delivery TAT, exception aging, and on-time action closure.
Support a weekly operating cadence with clear owners, actions, escalation paths, decision logs, and measurable completion criteria.
Use Microsoft 365, Copilot, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, or workflow tools to simplify analysis, reporting, and knowledge reuse.
Prepare concise updates and recommendations for operational, supplier, and leadership reviews.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data/Business Analytics, or a related field.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or process-mapping tools is an advantage.
Analytical and structured problem-solving approach, with the ability to convert data into practical recommendations.
Interest in supply chain, forecasting, order fulfillment, partner management, and customer delivery experience.
Good written communication, process-documentation, and presentation skills.
Ability to coordinate actions across multiple stakeholders and work with incomplete or inconsistent operational data.
