Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Manesar. The Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing mechanical and electrical product designs, including components for electric vehicle charging systems and related hardware. Day-to-day activities include creating and updating CAD models and detailed drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams for prototyping and testing, and supporting the transition from design to manufacturing. The role also involves participating in design reviews, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation. The Design Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions while maintaining project timelines and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to take concepts through to production-ready solutions.
Background in Mechanical Engineering with experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies for industrial or automotive applications.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar), including 3D modeling and detailed engineering drawings.
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to electric vehicle charging systems or power electronics is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
Ability to interpret standards and regulations pertinent to EV charging, safety, and industrial equipment (experience with Indian or international standards is an advantage).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Good communication skills for documentation, design reviews, and coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
