Role Description This is a full-time Mines Manager role based in Mahabubnagar with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility for planning, reporting, and coordination tasks. The Mines Manager will oversee daily mining operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and supervision of on-site teams to ensure safe and efficient extraction activities. The role includes preparing and implementing mine plans, coordinating with geology and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with statutory and environmental regulations. The Mines Manager will monitor mine safety standards, conduct regular inspections, manage incident reporting, and implement corrective actions where needed. Additional responsibilities include budgeting and cost control, vendor and contractor coordination, documentation and reporting to management and authorities, and continuous optimization of mining processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Mine Planning and Mining Engineering to design, implement, and optimize mining operations.
Candidates should possess knowledge and experience in Mine Safety to enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Candidates should possess skills in Budgeting to manage operational costs, forecast expenses, and support financial planning for mining activities.
Candidates should possess a sound understanding of Geology to interpret geological data, support resource estimation, and guide extraction strategies.
Degree or diploma in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; Mines Manager certification and statutory qualifications as per applicable mining regulations are highly preferred.
Relevant experience in open-cast or quarry operations, including team supervision and coordination with regulatory authorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with effective communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in mining-related software, basic MS Office tools, and familiarity with safety management systems is advantageous.
