At V-OptimAIse, we deploy predictive and diagnostic machine learning tools to cut the carbon footprint and boost operational reliability in steel manufacturing. To make our AI models work in the real world, we need robust physical infrastructure—from heavy-duty camera mounts overlooking metal tube heating processes to IP-rated enclosures for edge computing devices on the factory floor.
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks and fabrication experience to build, test, and deploy the physical systems that house our AI technology in harsh manufacturing environments.
What You Will Do:
Design mechanical components and assemblies, including custom enclosures for sensors, cameras, and IoT devices deployed directly on industrial machinery.
Perform structural analysis to ensure designs can withstand high temperatures, vibrations, and rigorous industrial conditions.
Support rapid prototyping using 3D printing and hands-on assembly for pilot deployments.
Develop precise, fabrication-ready engineering drawings and maintain comprehensive design documentation.
Bridge the gap between design and manufacturing by applying practical fabrication (Lathe, Welding, Drilling, CNC, Sheet Metal) knowledge to ensure components are easily manufacturable.
Troubleshoot mechanical design challenges on-site at manufacturing plants during hardware installation.
What You Will Bring:
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
1 to 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design, structural analysis and fabrication (Lathe, Welding, Drilling, CNC, Sheet Metal).
Strong, hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D CAD modeling and design & structural analysis.
Direct fabrication experience with hands-on capability in lathe operations, welding, CNC machining, and drilling.
Practical experience utilizing 3D printing for rapid prototyping and iterative design.
Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to create precise engineering drawings.
Desirable & Bonus Points:
A prior Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable, as we deeply value strong foundational and practical hands-on skills.
Experience designing rugged, thermal-managed, or IP-rated enclosures for electronics and IoT hardware.
Prior exposure to designing equipment for heavy industry, metal processing, or industrial automation.
Compensation & Terms:
CTC: ₹4 LPA (Including Bonus)
Training: 3-month training period
Probation: 6-month probation period
