About The Role
Our client, a technology consulting organization focused on delivering AI-powered solutions for highly regulated industries, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex AI and digital transformation initiatives. This role serves as the central point of coordination between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can translate technical concepts into business outcomes and business requirements into actionable engineering plans. You will work closely with distributed teams across the U.S. and offshore locations, supporting clients in industries such as healthcare, financial services, and real-time communications.
Job Description
As a Technical Project Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of AI-driven initiatives and serve as the critical link between technical teams and client stakeholders. You will help drive product roadmap execution, manage project risks and dependencies, facilitate stakeholder communication, and ensure successful implementation of technology solutions in complex, regulated environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the successful delivery of multiple concurrent AI and technology projects from planning through execution.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules across cross-functional teams.
Drive AI product roadmap initiatives, managing dependencies, risks, decisions, and changing priorities.
Partner closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, challenges, and delivery considerations.
Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and convert business requirements into actionable workstreams for engineering teams.
Facilitate project governance activities, including status meetings, sprint planning, stakeholder updates, and risk escalations.
Proactively identify and remove blockers to maintain project momentum and delivery commitments.
Provide clear and accurate project reporting to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.
Offer guidance on technology delivery best practices and organizational readiness for AI adoption.
Support clients through implementation while helping them build long-term operational and technical self-sufficiency.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of Technical Project Management experience leading software, platform, or technology initiatives.
Experience managing cross-functional teams consisting of engineers, product leaders, business stakeholders, and client partners.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and technical delivery processes.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks, dependencies, and issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Experience working with distributed or global teams across multiple time zones.
Ability to understand technical architecture and engineering concepts sufficiently to drive project execution and informed decision-making.
Preferred
Experience delivering AI, machine learning, or data-driven technology initiatives.
Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
Experience supporting projects within highly regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, or telecommunications.
Familiarity with real-time communications technologies including voice, SMS, messaging, or related platforms.
PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications.
Experience working with offshore and blended engineering teams.
