Role Description This is a part-time remote role for an Accountant at TradeBox Ventures. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing periodic financial reports. Responsibilities will include handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. The role also involves supporting month-end and quarter-end closes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide clear financial insights. The Accountant will work independently, communicate regularly with the finance and operations teams, and help improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledger management and account reconciliation.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow tracking.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), as well as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements, budgets, and basic financial analyses.
Knowledge of relevant accounting principles, standards, and basic tax considerations.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time remote setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
Prior experience in a startup, financial services, or trading environment is beneficial but not required.
