Job Description
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, API development, microservices architecture, database integration, design patterns, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop scalable and reusable Microservices and backend components.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented Java code.
Work with Java 11/17 or later versions and leverage modern Java features.
Develop applications using the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
Design and implement database solutions using SQL and relational databases.
Develop efficient database queries, stored procedures, and data-access components as required.
Implement appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms for APIs and applications.
Integrate applications with messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar platforms, where required.
Perform unit and integration testing using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
Participate in application design and technical solution discussions.
Implement appropriate logging, exception handling, monitoring, and error-management mechanisms.
Work with Git-based source control and branching strategies.
Support application builds, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and technical discussions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
4+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development.
Good understanding of OOP principles, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience developing scalable and high-performance backend applications.
Experience with unit testing, debugging, and application troubleshooting.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed development teams.
