We're looking for driven, detail-oriented, and analytical students to join our Auditing Internship and gain hands-on experience in the internal audit, control testing, and assurance work behind real companies.
About the Internship
As an Auditing Intern, you'll do realistic audit work inspired by real company assurance teams: planning audits, testing internal controls, reviewing transactions for accuracy and compliance, documenting findings, and supporting risk assessments.
You'll learn how auditors verify financial records, evaluate internal controls, spot risks and red flags, and produce clear, evidence-backed reports that management can act on.
Responsibilities
* Assist with mock audit planning: define scope, objectives, and risk areas.
* Perform mock walkthroughs of business processes and document how they work.
* Test mock internal controls: sample transactions and verify approvals.
* Review mock expense claims, invoices, and payments for accuracy and compliance.
* Perform mock bank reconciliations and verify cash balances.
* Sample-test mock revenue transactions and supporting documentation.
* Review mock vendor contracts and flag terms that pose risks.
* Identify mock fraud red flags: duplicates, anomalies, and unusual patterns.
* Test mock payroll records: salaries, deductions, and approvals.
* Review mock inventory counts and reconcile them to the ledger.
* Verify mock fixed-asset records and depreciation calculations.
* Test mock accounts payable and receivable for completeness and accuracy.
* Review mock tax schedules for compliance at a conceptual level.
* Assess mock IT controls: access rights, passwords, and system logs.
* Use AI tools to scan mock transaction data and surface anomalies faster.
* Document audit evidence in clear, organized working papers.
* Draft mock audit findings with clear criteria, causes, and recommendations.
* Build simple audit testing templates and checklists.
* Track remediation of mock audit findings until closure.
* Present mock audit results with clear rationale and supporting evidence.
Requirements
* Current student or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong interest in auditing, internal controls, and risk management.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and records.
* Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets); formulas a must.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, including clear audit documentation.
* Ability to think critically and question how processes really work.
* Healthy professional skepticism: curiosity about anomalies and inconsistencies.
* Interest in how companies stay compliant and protect their assets.
* Familiarity with basic accounting concepts (debits, credits, financial statements) is a plus but not required.
* Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms is a plus.
* Previous professional audit experience is not required.
What You'll Gain
* Hands-on experience doing real audit work.
* Practical experience testing internal controls and documenting findings.
* Understanding of audit planning, sampling, and evidence collection.
* Understanding of risk assessment and control evaluation.
* Experience reviewing transactions for compliance and accuracy.
* Practical exposure to fraud detection and red-flag analysis.
* Experience using AI and modern audit tools.
* Portfolio-ready audit reports and working papers.
* Personalized AI feedback on your work.
* Professional certificate upon successful completion.
* Mentorship and weekly learning sessions.
* Opportunity to strengthen your portfolio, resume, and interview readiness.
