Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic financial leadership to the organization. The CFO will manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and lead the preparation and review of financial reports and statements. This role includes establishing and refining financial policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborating closely with executive leadership on long-term financial planning and investment decisions. The CFO will also guide the finance team, implement tools and systems to improve financial accuracy and efficiency, and present clear financial insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions. Day-to-day work involves analyzing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving initiatives that strengthen the organization’s financial health.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
Expertise in preparing, interpreting, and overseeing financial statements and financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Proven leadership experience managing finance teams, with a focus on mentoring, collaboration, and accountability.
Experience with financial controls, risk management, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools commonly used in modern finance environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, boards, and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar credential is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
