Field Application Manager – Robotics
Lead field applications at the first company in India to design, manufacture and assemble robots and AMRs in-house. It is a priceless opportunity to shape robotics in India.
Own applications, demos and commissioning for cobots, industrial robots, AMRs, AGVs, humanoids and robot dogs, including Fairino, Yasaka and Unitree.
Location: Openings at Mumbai Factory, Pune Factory and Delhi region (HQ: Navi Mumbai, Koparkhairane), with regular travel to customer sites

The Role
You will lead Luna's Field Application Engineers and own the technical success of every robotics project across our Fairino, Yasaka and Unitree range: industrial robots and cobots, AMRs, AGVs, humanoid robots and quadruped robot dogs. You will be the senior technical partner for key accounts and the sales team, and set the standards our field team works to.
What You Will Do
• Lead, coach and plan the work of the FAE team across sites.
• Own application success by validating feasibility, cycle time, cell layouts and AMR/AGV fleet concepts before commitment.
• Plan and deliver high-impact demos and proof-of-concept projects for robot arms, mobile robots, humanoids and robot dogs.
• Set and enforce standards for commissioning, programming, service, documentation and handover.
• Act as the senior technical contact for key accounts, and lead escalations to fast resolution.
• Build training programs for FAEs, sales engineers, partners and customer teams.
• Feed field insight to our in-house robot design team, principals and management.
Must Have
• BE/BTech in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• 6–10 years in robotics or automation applications, including at least 2 years leading engineers or projects.
• Hands-on robot/cobot or mobile robot commissioning, with PLC, servo and machine vision integration.
• Proven experience delivering demos, technical presentations and customer training.
• Strong customer-handling skills and willingness to travel to customer sites.
Good to Have
• Experience with ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Universal Robots or similar robots is a plus.
• AMR/AGV fleet deployment, mapping and navigation; ROS experience is a plus.
• Robot cell layout, simulation or offline programming.
• Exposure to safety standards and risk assessment for robot cells and mobile robots.
