Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Developer with strong expertise in Salesforce platform development, enterprise integrations, and emerging Salesforce AI technologies. The successful candidate will work in a diverse SAFe/Agile environment with evolving business requirements and minimal supervision. This senior-level position requires technical leadership, solution architecture capabilities, communication, and coordination across development teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise technology partners.
The ideal candidate will develop scalable Salesforce applications while leveraging Agentforce, Einstein AI, Salesforce Data 360, and AI-assisted development tools to improve business processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Salesforce Application Development)
Design, develop, and maintain custom objects, fields, picklists, page layouts, validation rules, approval processes, flows, reports, dashboards, and email automation.
Develop scalable solutions using Apex, Apex Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Experience, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, SOSL, and JavaScript.
Implement Salesforce Flow and low-code/no-code automation.
Apply development best practices, including governor-limit management, security, performance optimization, and reusable components.
Modernize legacy Salesforce functionality using supported Lightning and Flow technologies.
Salesforce AI, Agentforce & Intelligent Automation
Design, develop, configure, and deploy AI-powered solutions using Salesforce Agentforce and Einstein AI.
Develop AI agents that execute approved workflows, retrieve enterprise information, and assist users with operational tasks.
Configure Agentforce topics, instructions, actions, and integrations with Apex, Flow, and external services.
Create, test, and optimize reusable generative AI templates using Salesforce Prompt Builder.
Integrate AI agents with Salesforce CRM data and Data 360 for grounded, context-aware interactions.
Implement human-in-the-loop controls, escalation procedures, and safeguards.
Test, monitor, and improve AI agent behavior and performance.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve productivity.
Enterprise Integration & Data Management
Design Salesforce integrations using REST, SOAP, Salesforce APIs, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Develop integrations with databases, file systems, SharePoint, web services, and third-party applications.
Connect Salesforce AI capabilities with approved enterprise applications and data sources.
Support Data 360 ingestion, data harmonization, identity resolution, and retrieval patterns where applicable.
Implement secure authentication, authorization, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
Support data migration, transformation, synchronization, and quality validation.
AI Governance, Security & Compliance
Apply role-based access, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
Implement AI governance controls for sensitive enterprise information.
Understand Einstein Trust Layer capabilities and applicable data-handling safeguards.
Design AI solutions with auditability, traceability, testing, and human oversight.
Support privacy, responsible AI, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and governance teams on prompt injection, unauthorized data access, and unintended AI agent actions.
DevOps, SAFe/Agile & Technical Leadership
Manage deployments and releases using Copado and approved CI/CD pipelines.
Use approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, documentation, test generation, and troubleshooting.
Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.
Participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design sessions.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, user stories, and detailed acceptance criteria.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, architects, administrators, and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience (Salesforce Technical Expertise)
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
Advanced Apex, Apex Triggers, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
Salesforce Flow, declarative customization, data modeling, and security architecture.
REST/SOAP APIs and MuleSoft, databases, SharePoint, and enterprise web services integration.
Salesforce deployments using Copado; unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
SAFe/Agile methodologies, requirements analysis, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Independent technical problem-solving and leadership.
Salesforce AI & Agentforce Skills
Hands-on experience designing, configuring, or extending Agentforce AI agents.
Experience with Prompt Builder and Einstein AI.
Knowledge of prompt engineering, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI workflow automation.
Experience integrating Agentforce actions with Apex, Flow, and external APIs.
Familiarity with Salesforce Data 360 and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Experience testing AI agent behavior, response accuracy, and action execution using Agentforce Testing Center or equivalent methods.
Understanding of AI security, privacy, access controls, and responsible AI development.
Ability to identify and implement practical enterprise AI use cases.

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
Salesforce Agentforce Specialist certification or equivalent implementation experience.
Salesforce Data Cloud / Data 360 certification or equivalent experience.
Copado certification.
Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials.
Experience with Salesforce AI in regulated enterprise or federal government environments.
Experience with CI/CD automation, Git, Salesforce CLI, and enterprise release management.
Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP where applicable.
