Role Description The Field Development Officer role at MetaZyne is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Salem and/or Namakkal. The role involves visiting farms and channel partners to demonstrate MetaZyne products, conduct field trials, and collect orders and performance data across diverse crops. The Field Development Officer will provide agronomic guidance, support farmer training programs, and share product knowledge with distributors and retailers. Responsibilities also include planning and executing field promotions, gathering market and competitor insights, and preparing regular reports on field activities and outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with the sales, technical, and marketing teams to ensure consistent field performance and strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
Education: B.Sc. in Agriculture (or allied sciences / Horticulture / Agronomy).
Experience: Prior field experience (1–3 years) in agri-inputs, agrochemicals, bio-fertilizers, or seed marketing is strongly preferred. Enthusiastic fresh graduates with strong technical acumen are also welcome to apply.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Tamil (essential for local field interaction); working knowledge of English.
Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and a two-wheeler for daily field travel.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, persuasive presentation skills, and a genuine passion for on-ground farmer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Farmer Outreach & Group Meetings: Conduct on-field farmer meetings, village-level campaigns, and group discussions to introduce MetaZyne’s product portfolio and soil health solutions.
Product Demos & Field Trials: Set up field demonstrations, monitor trial plots, track crop performance, and showcase visible agronomic results to local farming communities.
Retailer & Channel Engagement: Build and sustain strong working relationships with key agri-input retailers, distributors, and dealer networks across assigned territories.
Demand Generation & Market Pull: Coordinate with the sales and technical teams to generate ground-level product adoption and secondary demand.
Field Intelligence & Daily Reporting: Track daily travel movements, farmer feedback, competitor insights, and market trends using standardized reporting logs.
