Job Description:
Position Overview:
To provide operational assistance and relief to Back End personnel, including Palletizer Operator, LSM Operator and Back End Maintainer.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Assist with setup, maintenance, and operation of equipment such as flangers, beaders, light testers, spray machines, IBOs, and the palletizer.
Support operations by conducting quality checks on cans.
Step in to run the palletizer, LSMs, and other back end equipment when designated back end operations and maintainers are unavailable.
Conduct inspections in the LSM area while the LSM operator performs daily cleaning of the machines.
Perform visual inspections of cans to ensure full process compliance, taking appropriate corrective actions if any deficiencies are identified.
Complete required paperwork and documentation such as process check sheets, logbooks, and maintenance check sheets.
Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.
Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and follow all safety procedures and work practices
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
Strong mechanical skills.
Ability to read, understand and comply with SOP’s.
Basic data entry and computer.
Ability to safely operate production forklift and maintain certification.
Knowledge of safety regulations that apply to work functions.
