Solutions Enginee

Role Description The Solutions Engineer will work part time in a remote capacity, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and support technology and process solutions that address logistics challenges. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding user and client needs, translating requirements into practical technical or workflow solutions, and supporting integration between tools, platforms, and data sources. The role involves participating in presales and solution discovery discussions, preparing solution outlines or demos, and providing consulting input on best practices in logistics technology. The Solutions Engineer will also partner with sales and content teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, clearly communicated, and aligned with LT’s mission. Ongoing activities include troubleshooting solution issues, documenting architectures and workflows, and contributing ideas to improve LT’s digital products and services.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development and Integration skills to design, customize, and connect tools, platforms, or data workflows.
Consulting and Presales experience to assess stakeholder needs, propose suitable solutions, and support solution design discussions.
Sales and solution support skills to collaborate with commercial teams, prepare technical input for proposals, and communicate solution value clearly.
Solid understanding of logistics, transportation, or supply chain concepts, with the ability to translate operational challenges into technical requirements.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, manage priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Swahili proficiency is an advantage.
Experience with cloud-based tools, APIs, data integration, or workflow automation is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
