Contract, 20 hours per week, with a path to a larger role. Start mid-to-late December 2026. Toronto, Canada (remote possible). Applications close November 1, 2026.
Liminal Learning is a nonprofit that offers young people ages 18-25 a collective launch into purposeful adulthood. Our yearlong program blends online and offline curriculum and experiences, preparing young people for a world in flux and helping them find their way, in work, study, and life.
Our approach is research-backed and led by developmental psychologist Dr. Isabela Granic. We operate in Ontario, Canada, with national expansion to come.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced operations manager to oversee Liminal’s finance, governance, and select program operations. You’ll report to our Executive Director, Isabela Granic, and work closely with our Program team, Research Lead, and Fundraising Manager.
This is an initial six-month contract at 20 hours per week. You’ll have significant autonomy to recommend and implement processes, and flexibility in setting your schedule. Your first six months have clear priorities, set out under What success looks like. As we run more cohorts each year, we see this role growing into a larger position leading Liminal’s operations, as a contractor or employee.

Own the compliance calendar: CRA returns (corporate and sales tax), Ontario corporate filings, insurance renewal, and board deadlines.
Support board meetings: scheduling, papers, and follow-up on decisions.
Support the AGM process, including financial statements and member resolutions, and coordinate the annual report.
Maintain corporate records: minute book, registers, resolutions, and bylaws.
Support our preparation for registered charity status.
Program operations
Track Program commitments to funders and partners, such as enrollment and budget targets, and report on them for fundraising, supporter communications, and partner requests.
Maintain participant agreements and records, with our Program Lead and Research Lead.
For each new cohort and Quest, build and track the budget, review venue and vendor contracts, and make sure insurance, waivers, and participant records are in place. Our Program team leads on-site delivery and safety protocols.
