About The Role

Equitable is looking for a dynamic Regional Vice President, Annuities (External Wholesaler) to join our Individual Retirement team supporting the Independent Planner Channel. This role will support the Independent Planner Channel within the Chicago, IL market and have up to 95% travel within the territory and periodic office visits requested to support business needs. Periodic office visits may be requested based on business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and manage consultative relationships with existing Third-Party advisors.
Assess and identify the needs of advisor clients in order to promote new products.
Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market-share in excess of 15%.
Educate and train advisors on Annuity products.
Champion for headquarters marketing campaigns at local client level.
Develop new relationships. Responsible for territory management.
Utilize internal sales desk for enhanced customer service.
Follow up on Internal Sales Desk leads.
Maintain sales goals. Candidate must be able to identify, create and implement annuity sales opportunities.
The candidate will be responsible for communication with Divisional Vice Presidents on an ongoing basis.
The base salary for this position is $60,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications
What You Will Bring
FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 registrations
Resident State Life, Health and Variable Annuities Insurance license
Thorough knowledge of Variable Annuities and Mutual Funds
2+ years direct sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling annuities in Chicago, IL market
Bachelor's degree
CLU, ChFC and/or CFP
Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills
Highly Organized
Technically savvy with computer and MS Office products

Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Prospecting: Knowledge of prospecting principles, processes and skills; ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.
Sales Proposals and Presentations: Knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques; ability to prepare and present formal recommendations for how the organization can meet the customer's needs.
Territory Management: Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).
