Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Bhuj. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment at renewable energy facilities, including solar and wind power plants. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, performing routine inspections, identifying faults, and conducting troubleshooting to restore operations safely and efficiently. The role involves working with panels, wiring, switchgear, and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. The Electrician will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and site operations teams to support smooth plant operations and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work, including handling wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
Proficiency in maintenance & repair activities for electrical systems, with the ability to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions in a time-sensitive environment.
Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles relevant to power generation and distribution systems.
Relevant technical diploma, ITI, or certification in Electrical trade; higher technical education in electrical engineering is an advantage.
Working knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and use of electrical testing tools and instruments.
Ability to work on-site in Bhuj, including in outdoor and plant environments, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in power plants, industrial facilities, or renewable energy projects is preferred.
