Maximus is hiring a Business Analyst to join our NY Shared Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective system solutions.
In this role, you'll support multiple New York programs, including New York Medicaid Choice, by working closely with operations and technology teams to gather requirements, support system enhancements, and help drive process improvements. You'll play a key role in a Salesforce-focused environment, helping translate business needs into solutions that improve operations and support program goals.
What You'll Do
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional requirements, workflows, and process documentation.
Partner with operations, technical teams, and project stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements.
Support Salesforce and other enterprise applications through requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation.
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and release readiness activities.
Investigate system issues and support production problem resolution.
Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, and other project documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies.
Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist management with decision making.
Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionalities, and/or proposed solutions.
Process all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field.
3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, operations analysis, or system implementation.
Experience translating business needs into functional requirements, workflows, or business processes.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and other business software applications.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, or HIPAA-regulated environments.
Experience supporting Salesforce, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Salesforce Field Service.
Experience with software implementations, system integrations, or enterprise applications.
Salesforce, CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or related certification.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
