About the Role
Responsible for the results of the indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The team leader must apply HPS philosophy. Develop Harman skills on employees.
The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process according with quality, safety and environmental systems and customer specific requirements.
What You Will Do
Participates in the planning, approval, review and implementation process of strategies and policies regarding general manufacturing.
Establish multidisciplinary teams to work on continuous improvement.
Identity and implement improvements to reduce waste.
Support quality systems and environmental management implemented in the company.
Formulate short-and long-term to be consistent with the strategies and policies of the business.
Selects develop and motivate the company's management talent to optimize operational performance and promote growth.
Support the development of new products and process capability to ensure continuous improvement.
Participate on rising engagement between the corporation and the plant management to establish the necessary interaction to achieve both individual goals and objectives.
Ensure that the requirements of the SAA and SC are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 14000, ISO 9001, and VDA.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities related to product, process, quality system and environmental management system.
Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, quality system and environmental management system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through established communication channels.
To represent the needs of the customer in internal functions according to the requirements of the Quality System.
Review the previous day’s production to evaluate shipment risks for the customer.
Notify any risk covering shipments (materials, SMD, etc.).
Review strategies to accomplish indicators for daily audits (Quality, 5’s, etc.).
Capacity calculation for every line and new launch to anticipate production capacity constraints.
Encourage the team to improve production rates.
And other work tasks assigned by Operations Manager
Participate and provide support related to environmental, Health and Safety objectives, targets and programs.
What You Need to Be Successful
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Lean Manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
5 or more years of management experience in manufacturing operations

This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than four (4) active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
