Company Description Cantill.ai is an AI-native Intake-to-Pay platform designed to replace legacy procurement suites with a single, intelligent system. The platform uses AI as its core foundation to power spend analytics, category management, sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract management, and intake-to-pay processes.

Role Description The Senior AI Engineer role at Cantill.ai will be responsible for design, build, and optimize AI models that power the company’s Source-to-Pay workflows, including spend analytics, sourcing optimization, supplier intelligence, and contract insights.
She/He will design and ship the agentic layer of Cantill: the systems that read policies, source suppliers, negotiate within guardrails and learn from user feedback. She/He will work directly with the founder and the core engineering team, and will supervise our Data & ML team. The Senior AI Engineer will also be responsible for improving model performance, ensuring scalability and reliability of AI services, and contributing to the technical roadmap and best practices for AI development.
What we're looking for
4 to 5 years of experience, including LLM agents shipped to production
Hands-on with tool calling, guardrails, human-in-the-loop approvals and RAG
Experience extracting structured data from PDFs and Excel files
Strong Python and FastAPI
A habit of evaluating AI output, and managing cost and latency
Strong plus
Small language model fine-tuning (LoRA), HuggingFace, vLLM hosting
ERP or procurement workflow experience
