Hourly Pay rate $33.00

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of distribution center equipment and systems, including conveyors, sortation equipment, pallet-handling equipment, packaging and kitting equipment, dock equipment, battery-charging systems, and automated or robotic equipment.
Diagnose electrical and controls-related failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot motors, motor starters, relays, contactors, photo eyes, proximity sensors, encoders, safety circuits, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related industrial controls.
Connect to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) to monitor inputs and outputs, identify faults, interpret alarms, and support recovery. Make program changes only when trained, authorized, and approved under site change-control requirements.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, rollers, gearboxes, pumps, cylinders, valves, regulators, and compressed-air components.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, control diagrams, equipment manuals, parts diagrams, and technical specifications to complete repairs accurately and safely.
Perform precision mechanical work, including alignment, adjustment, tensioning, component replacement, fabrication, and installation. Use appropriate measurement tools and verify equipment condition and function before release to service.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on material-handling equipment, facility systems, and critical assets. Identify abnormal conditions, recurring defects, and maintenance needs before they result in failure or operational interruption.
Use the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document troubleshooting findings, labor, parts, failure information, corrective actions, and follow-up needs. Maintain accurate asset history and close work orders with clear technical detail.
Perform structured root cause analysis on repeat or high-impact failures and recommend practical corrective actions that improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and maintainability.
Serve as an advanced technical resource during complex breakdowns and planned work. Provide hands-on knowledge sharing and task-specific instruction to other technicians without assuming personnel-management, scheduling, timekeeping, or disciplinary authority.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and startup by verifying utilities, guarding, controls, documentation, spare parts, and preventive-maintenance requirements.
Inspect completed repairs, test equipment under safe operating conditions, and verify that guards, interlocks, emergency stops, sensors, and other protective devices function as intended before equipment is returned to service.
Coordinate technical details with Operations, Safety, Quality, Engineering, vendors, and contractors as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Escalate scope, safety, cost, or reliability concerns promptly.
Perform facility maintenance and repair involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, doors, dock systems, lighting, and other building systems within training, authorization, and applicable code requirements.
Follow all company safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures, including lockout/tagout, electrical safe-work practices, hot work, working at height, powered industrial equipment, contractor safety, and required permits.
Maintain tools, work areas, maintenance documentation, and spare parts in an organized, clean, and audit-ready condition.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Tools and Equipment:
Hand and power tools; precision measurement tools; electrical diagnostic meters; laptop-based diagnostic software; mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic test equipment; and material-handling equipment used in performing duties.
Forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, aerial lifts, dollies, computers, tablets, labeling tools, and other department-specific equipment, when trained and authorized.
Required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, electrical PPE, fall protection, and other PPE applicable to the task.

Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, packaging, material-handling, or similarly automated environment.
Demonstrated advanced experience troubleshooting industrial electrical controls, mechanical power transmission, pneumatic systems, and automated equipment.
Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI diagnostics, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, conveyors, sortation systems, and robotic or automated equipment strongly preferred.
Experience using a CMMS to execute and document preventive maintenance, corrective work, parts usage, and equipment history required.
Other
Advanced ability to isolate equipment failures systematically, identify root causes, and complete safe, durable repairs.
Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical procedures.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and applicable safety practices. Electrical licensing is preferred where relevant but does not replace site authorization requirements.
Working knowledge of distribution center equipment and facility systems, including conveyors, docks, doors, battery charging, compressed air, material-handling equipment, and automated work cells.
Ability to communicate technical findings clearly in writing and verbally, including accurate shift-turnover and work-order documentation.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance-management or equipment-diagnostic applications.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-direction, and sense of urgency during equipment downtime.
