What You Will Do:
Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, masking, and sanding.
Apply paint to surface of the part using spray gun.
Able to adjust paint guns to maximize transfer efficiency and teach others.
Able to clean and maintain spray equipment.
Ensures manometers, filters, ovens and all equipment meet specification requirements.
Understands spray patterns, angles and distance to part.
Understands racking and hanging techniques.
Learn to accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
Operate Chart recorders
Meet customer deadlines and expectations.
Responsible to comply with applicable elements of quality systems.
Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required.
Participate in audits.
Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
Check parts for cracks, loose connections, faulty bonds, and faulty assembly.
Record test results in testing log. Route products for rework or salvage of usable parts.
May fabricate instrument parts through crimping, soldering, brazing,and cutting.
Comply with all rules and regulations of Raytheon Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety,
Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.
Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Require:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience spraying with paint guns
Experience with applying coatings to metal in paint booths
Experience with prepping (taping, applying plastic covers, filling in holes etc.)
Basic computer skills; Excel, Word, Email
The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
The ability to successfully complete training modules associated with job grade.
The ability to follow assembly instruction.
The ability to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
The ability to understand end uses of products being built.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this role is $38,841 - $72,849. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key
skills.
