Overview:
Seismic is looking for a Customer Stories Manager to own the end-to-end creation of customer case studies and success stories that fuel our go-to-market motions. You will partner closely with customers, account teams, and product marketing to uncover compelling stories and turn them into polished, high-impact content while using AI tools to move faster and produce more without sacrificing quality.
Who you are:
5+ years of experience in case studies, customer marketing, content marketing, or journalism.
Customer-forward by nature: you build rapport quickly, listen well, and represent the customer's voice accurately and compellingly.
Genuinely fluent with AI tools: you've built real workflows using them (not just occasional prompting) and can teach others to do the same.
Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration: comfortable working closely with references, advocacy, product marketing, sales, and CS teams to keep a shared pipeline moving.
Excellent writing and editing skills with a track record of shipping polished content under deadline.
Strong project management skills; comfortable juggling many stories in flight with customers, legal, and stakeholders at different stages.
Ability to travel 4-6 times per year.
Bonus: experience with SaaS or B2B customer marketing, product marketing, video/multimedia storytelling, or working with sales/CS teams directly.
What you’ll be doing:
Own the case study pipeline end-to-end: identify strong customer stories, secure participation, conduct interviews, and write and publish finished assets.
Build genuine, trust-based relationships with customers. You're comfortable leading interviews, asking sharp follow-up questions, and making customers feel heard throughout the process.
Work cross-functionally as a core partner to the Executive Advocacy Manager, References Manager and Groundbreakers Advocacy Manager to source candidates from the reference and advocacy pipelines, and to product marketing to align stories with launches, campaigns, and sales priorities.
Use AI tools (e.g., Seismic Customer Story Orchestrator, transcription, drafting, editing, and research assistants) to accelerate interview synthesis, first drafts, and content variations while maintaining a distinct editorial voice and rigorous accuracy.
Continuously experiment with new AI workflows to increase case study output and turnaround speed.
Manage legal/PR approval workflows with customers to keep the pipeline moving without stalling on red tape.
Repurpose case studies into multiple formats (sales one-pagers, web pages, social snippets, video scripts) in partnership with design and content teams.
Travel 4-6 times per year for customer site visits, interviews, video shoots, and Seismic events including our annual customer conference.
Track case study performance and pipeline health and report on program impact.
