About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Carat Global Assurance (CGA)
Help build the next chapter of the certification industry.
Carat Global Assurance is expanding, and we're looking for an exceptional Quality & Accreditation Manager to help us get there.
Our group operates across 25+ countries, providing certification and assurance services to businesses around the world. As we expand our existing programs and enter new certification markets, we need someone who can take genuine ownership of our quality systems and accreditation work.
You'll work directly with leadership, have considerable autonomy, and play an important role in shaping how CGA grows.
What you'll be responsible for
Own our quality management system. Take responsibility for maintaining, improving, and implementing our systems against ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17021-1, and applicable accreditation and scheme requirements.
Lead accreditation activities. Manage relationships with accreditation bodies, coordinate assessments, handle findings and corrective actions, and keep us consistently assessment-ready.
Drive new accreditations and scope expansions. Help us enter new certification programs, from understanding the requirements to building the systems, documentation, and competencies needed to achieve accreditation.
Strengthen our food certification programs. Support accreditation and quality requirements for programs such as IFS, alongside our broader certification portfolio.
Make our processes work in practice. Improve internal audits, management reviews, impartiality controls, personnel competence, certification decisions, and operational oversight.
Build for scale. Help develop a quality function that can support multiple certification programs and international operations without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Support future growth. Play a key role in developing additional certification capabilities, including our planned organic certification program.
Who we're looking for
Ideally, you've spent several years working in quality management, accreditation, or technical management within a certification body.
You have strong, practical knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065 and/or ISO/IEC 17021-1, and you've personally been involved in accreditation assessments, scope extensions, corrective actions, and interactions with accreditation bodies.
Experience with food certification schemes, particularly IFS, BRCGS, SQF, or organic certification, would be especially valuable.
More importantly, you're someone who takes ownership. You don't need constant direction, you're comfortable working through complex accreditation requirements, and you can distinguish between what a standard actually requires and what has simply become industry habit.
You write clearly, communicate well with assessors and colleagues, and are equally comfortable working through detailed technical requirements and discussing the bigger picture with leadership.
What you've actually accomplished matters far more to us than your job title.
Why consider CGA?
The opportunity here is to make a real impact.
We're growing into new certification markets, and the person who joins us will have a meaningful say in how our quality and accreditation infrastructure is built.
You'll have direct access to decision-makers, the ability to improve things rather than just maintain them, and the chance to grow into a broader leadership role as the business expands.
We value people who are capable, thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely good at what they do. We also believe strong quality systems should help a business operate better, not slow it down.
If you've been looking for an opportunity to take real ownership of quality and accreditation within a growing certification organization, we'd like to hear from you.
