Category Purchaser

Job Description
We are looking for you as a Category Purchaser - (m/f/diverse).
Contributing to the design and end-to-end implementation of global category strategies
Leading complex sourcing projects—from initial supplier selection and sourcing concept definition to high-stakes price negotiations and final contract execution
Conducting annual price negotiations and maintaining a continuous benchmarking cycle to ensure market leadership
Identifying new market players (Supplier Scouting) and driving supplier development programs to secure long-term competitive advantages
Proactively identifying and executing cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or resilience
Acting as the ultimate point of contact and "highest instance" for all critical supplier-related escalations
Qualifications
Academic degree in Business Administrations, Engineering, or a related field with 15-18 years of experience.
Strong experience in strategic procurement/category management, within a complex corporate environment, preferably in the automotive industry
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
Analytical, data-driven mindset with proven problem-solving skills
Ability to clearly present complex topics to TOP management
High quality standards, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills
