Business Development / Lead Designer

We’re seeking an experienced, well-connected Business Development / Lead Designer who has both a designer’s eye and a business strategist’s mindset. This is a key role for a motivated professional who can generate new opportunities, foster long-term relationships, and deliver high-end outdoor living designs that reflect AquaTerra’s reputation for excellence.
What You’ll Do: (Experience Requirements)
Generate and develop new business through networking, referrals, and partnerships across the DFW market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, designers, and other trade partners to expand our network and pipeline.
Serve as the primary client liaison, guiding clients from concept through completion with confidence, clarity, and care.
Lead the creative design process, ensuring every project reflects AquaTerra’s signature quality and innovation.
Collaborate with internal design, estimating, and project management teams to deliver exceptional results.
Drive revenue growth, sales performance, and brand reach through strong client connections and a proactive approach to business development.
Conduct site visits, design presentations, and construction administration as needed.
What We’re Looking For: (Qualifications)
An established professional with a developed network in the DFW design/build community.
3+ years of experience in high-end residential landscape architecture, outdoor living design, or related design/build roles.
Proven ability in lead generation, client relationship management, and sales growth.
Strong design and technical skills; able to translate vision into reality.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both client-facing and internal.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or related field preferred.
Portfolio, resume, and references required.
