About the Role
Valona Intelligence is seeking a research-oriented Intelligence Analyst to monitor international developments and produce evidence-based assessments of geopolitical, political, and economic trends. This role is suited to candidates with strong analytical and writing skills who can evaluate information from credible sources and translate complex developments into clear, structured research reports.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct open-source research on geopolitical developments, international relations, economic affairs, and global trade.
Monitor political, diplomatic, regulatory, and regional developments within assigned areas of coverage.
Evaluate information from multiple credible sources to identify relevant trends and emerging issues.
Assess the potential implications of international developments for markets, businesses, and regional stability.
Prepare intelligence assessments, research briefs, analytical reports, and presentations.
Consult relevant subject-matter experts when required for research assignments.
Maintain accuracy, objectivity, and appropriate confidentiality in all research deliverables.
Communicate findings clearly and meet agreed research deadlines.
Qualifications
At least one year of relevant experience in intelligence analysis, geopolitical research, international affairs, policy research, or a related field.
Academic background in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Security Studies, Law, or related discipline.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
Excellent written English and report-writing abilities.
Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.
Familiarity with open-source research methods is an advantage.
Working Arrangement
Remote, part-time position.
Working hours, responsibilities, and reporting arrangements will be communicated during the recruitment process.
Selection will be based on relevant experience, analytical skills, and suitability for the role.
Compensation
The proposed starting compensation is USD 4,200 per month, subject to the agreed employment terms and successful completion of the selection process. Any probationary period, compensation conditions, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses will be explained to shortlisted candidates.
