Engineering Technician - Facilities & Mechanical

Job Description
The Engineering Technician plays a hands-on, problem-solving role by assisting engineers in designing, building, testing, and maintaining equipment or systems, using technical expertise, instruments, and data analysis to ensure projects run efficiently and meet required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for building and facility systems.
Carry out plumbing, piping, mechanical fitting, minor civil and general facility repair works.
Support maintenance of doors, ceilings, flooring, walls, drainage, sanitary systems and other building infrastructure.
Support installation, modification and repair of mechanical and utility systems.
Coordinate and supervise contractors for facility-related maintenance activities.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with GMP, GDP and EHS requirements.
Complete maintenance records, work orders and related engineering documentation accurately.
Support inspections and timely closure of facility defects and maintenance observations.
Qualifications:
Diploma/Technical qualification in
Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facility Maintenance or related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Strong practical skills in mechanical fitting, plumbing and general facility maintenance.
Civil maintenance experience is an advantage.
Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, healthcare or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
Basic understanding of GMP and good maintenance documentation practices is an advantage.
Able to communicate in English and work effectively with Engineering, Production, Quality and EHS teams.
